Minnesota TOY

IMG_8481-300x240The Minnesota chapter of NNSTOY is a network of Minnesota Teachers of the Year and Minnesota Teacher of the Year Finalists dedicated to improving education by amplifying the voice of exemplary educational practitioners. We work collectively and individually to ensure that Minnesota education policy is influenced and guided by voices from the classroom in order to elevate teaching practice and to advocate for students and teachers.

Our current Minnesota Teacher of the Year is Abdul Wright, who teaches eighth-grade language arts at The Best Academy in Minneapolis. Abdul is the 52nd recipient of the award and will serve until May, 2017.
